Alias Croizet Bages is the second wine of Chateau Croizet-Bages, which is ranked fifth great wine since 1855. Since 2004, the estate is directed by Anne-Francoise Quie and her twin borther Jean-Philippe. As for their other chateau, Rauzan-Gassies, they display the ambition of excellence and producing ripe and fleshy wines. Vinification is traditional in stainless steel vats. Then the aging is in oak barrels during 12 months.
A charming wine, rich in personality and complexity. Its dark red with black highlights dress is mesmerizing. Its nose is expressive, composed of aromas of red fruits (cherry) and empyreumatic. The palate reveals a sweetness in a confirmed structure, ripe and silky tannins, with a beautiful length. This wine matches perfectly with leg lambs, Beaufort, Comte cheese, and beautiful pieces of grilled red meats.
