To create this DOC Rioja red wine, only the exclusive Graciano variety of grape has been used. Graciano is a native variety not very widely grown in other areas, which as a proven complement to Tempranillo in aging has made it a variety for the future in La Rioja, where acreage has increased considerably in recent years, but without reaching the prominence it had before phylloxera.
Beautifully opaque, dark cherry red color. Delicious fruit (black cherry) with exquisitely delicate spicy notes (clove). Wonderfully elegant, velvety palate with very fine-grained tannins that carry the aromas and flavors through to the finish. Pair with roasts or oven-baked lamb. Excellent with traditional stew recipes from Castile and La Rioja. Lovely with mature sheep cheeses.
